From November 1, 2018 until November 4, the Toscana Orienteering Classic will be staged, a sports orienteering event that will take place in Val d’Orcia.
IKP, Picchio Verde, Libertas Montalcino and Atletica Val D’Elsa are the organizing companies, supported by the administrations of Montalcino and Abbadia San Salvatore and the winery Banfi, the Consorzio del Brunello, Erba Vita and Floramiata.
Floramiata, in addition to telling its own story that is born in an area of extraordinary beauty, has offered its splendid productions for the winners of the event.
The event is divided into five races in four days from 1 to 4 November 2018:

02.11 Night Sprint mass start – City Race – Castelnuovo dell’Abate
03.11 Sprint – City Race – San Giovanni D’Asso

The formula includes two stages in the woods and two stops in the historic center, with the “bonus” stage at night on Friday evening in San Giovanni D’Asso.
The time of the year chosen, allows you to discover a Tuscany outside the normal summer tourist periods: a territory that still in early November has a climate with temperatures ranging from 15 to 25 degrees perfect for orienteering and attractive especially for the many Scandinavian athletes present.
