It needs light but not direct sunlight.

 

From May to September, apply a complete liquid fertilizer twice a month.

 

Water generously from April to October, and moderately for the rest of the year. It is advisable to place saucers filled with damp gravel to avoid over-watering the soil. During the hot season, spray the leaves twice a day.

It belongs to the Araceae family and is native to the tropical regions of America, particularly Brazil, Colombia, the Macrinica, and Guyana.

Its distinctive feature is the very large, glossy leaves that are purple in color and leathery in texture.

The minimum winter temperature should be between 13°C and 16°C.
