BEAUCARNEA
CP/17 H= 60 CM
CP/22 H= 65 CM

The Beaucarnea is native to the desert regions of Mexico. It loves light, and its unique feature is the swelling at the base, which serves as a water reservoir, hence its name “elephant’s foot.”

The Beaucarnea is also known as the “smoke-eating plant,” not because it neutralizes the passive smoke from cigarettes (although it does have excellent air-purifying abilities in closed spaces), but due to its remarkable ability to resist fires. By storing a lot of water in its trunk, it is minimally affected by flames thanks to its corky trunk.

The minimum temperature it can tolerate ranges from 12°C to 14°C. This plant has a very slow growth rate.
