Description

MONSTERA DELICIOSA
VP/17 H= 70 CM
VP/19 H= 100 CM
VP/21 H= 80 CM

It is a perennial, evergreen climbing plant native to Mexico, where it can reach up to 20 meters in height. Commercially, it is associated with the Philodendron, from which it differs by the structure of its inflorescences. It is an ideal houseplant, highly decorative, and requires little maintenance.

The leaves exhibit heterophylly, meaning the presence of differently shaped leaves on the same plant, depending on their age. Many species of Monstera, in their juvenile stage, are hard to distinguish because their leaves are all elongated, oblique with sharp tips and entire edges. The perforations (holes) in the leaves only appear on mature plants, allowing light, air, and moisture to reach the lower levels of the plant.
