It is an evergreen and perennial plant that is characterized by dark green leaves with white, ivory, or light green streaks or spots. The leaves are large and oblong, and the plant has a short, thick, and sturdy stem. It produces only a few flowers, gathered in small spiky clusters.<\/p>\n

There are about 70 species within the Dieffenbachia genus, with the varieties amoena<\/em> and maculata<\/em> being the ones commonly cultivated in the market.<\/p>\n

These plants thrive in light, and the more light they receive, the more their leaves turn white. Their stunning appearance, with bright, lively colors and clear veins, makes them excellent ornamental houseplants.
