The Spathiphyllum<\/strong>, from the Greek “spatha”<\/strong> meaning sword and “phyllon”<\/strong> meaning leaf, includes about 30 tropical species with an elegant shape. Their distinguishing feature is the complete lack of a stem: the leaves grow directly from an underground rhizome.<\/p>\n

It belongs to the Araceae<\/strong> family and is an evergreen plant native to the tropical areas of America<\/strong>, Colombia<\/strong>\u00a0and Venezuela<\/strong>, growing along the edges of ponds and streams. It produces unique white flowers that can last several weeks, turning green before completely wilting.<\/p>\n

The Spathiphyllum Martina\u00ae<\/strong><\/em> variety is a registered Floramiata trademark<\/strong>, produced through meristematic multiplication in their internal research lab.<\/p>\n

According to a NASA study, the Spathiphyllum is highly effective at purifying indoor air.
