From 26 to 28 September p.v., Floramiata will be present at the 70th edition of Flormart, the “International Floriculture Exhibition, landscape and green infrastructure”. One of the main themes of this edition will be linked to the well-being and the positive effects that plants and green spaces give in indoor and outdoor environments.<\/p>\n

In this context, Floramiata, always sensitive to environmental issues, has prepared an information panel that will be presented in its own exhibition space (pavilion 5 stand 21) and which collects the results of the studies of a research group from Texas A&M University and from the NICH (National Initiative for Consumer Horticulture) on the impact and functions with which plants influence our lives , showing how plants and flowers benefit not only the home environment but the business, improving productivity in offices, factories and, especially in environments without windows, as well as external green areas. <\/span><\/p>\n

Plants, in fact, not only have a decorative aspect; positioned in our homes they help us to clean the air of the pollutants present, to stabilize the carbon dioxide and to increase the humidity, making the home environments more comfortable. Not only that, their presence in offices without windows or in schools, help to lower the level of stress, to concentrate better and to lessen eyesight. <\/span><\/p>\n

The houseplants can become an integral and indispensable component of an ecologically healthy building , the most effective treatment to improve the psychological and physical well-being of man. Even outdoor plants have great capacity to counteract air pollution, as highlighted by recent scientific studies carried out by the Pescia CREA within the MIA project and from IBimet of the CNR of Bologna. <\/span><\/p>\n

Vegetable barriers to be included in urban centers to restore equilibrium where the concentration of cars or industries is high, constitute a fundamental element for the ecosystem performing different functions: aesthetics, micro-habitat for plants and animals, windbreak barrier. They limit noise and are able both to intercept heavy metals and fine dust (PM10 and PM2.5) present in the air and to break down atmospheric carbon dioxide and provide oxygen through the photosynthesis process, thus contributing to the improvement of quality air in urban centers, embellishing and shading streets and squares. Plants therefore benefit society in different ways, positively affect people’s lives, well-being and health as well as enriching and coloring the logos in which we live.<\/span><\/p>\n
